Principi attivi 1 ml di soluzione cutanea contiene 16,05 mg di diclofenac sodico. Per gli eccipienti, vedere paragrafo 6.1. Eccipienti Dimetilsolfossido, etanolo, glicerina, glicole propilenico, acqua distillata. Indicazioni terapeutiche PENNSAID ® (16 mg/ml di diclofenac sodico ) è una soluzione cutanea indicata nel sollievo sintomatico del dolore associato all’osteoartrite delle articolazioni superficiali, compreso il ginocchio. Non sono disponibili dati sull’uso di PENNSAID ® nelle articolazioni grandi e profonde, rivestite da strati muscolari o di altri tessuti molli, come l’anca o la colonna vertebrale. Controindicazioni/Effetti indesiderati PENNSAID ® (16 mg/ml di diclofenac sodico) è controindicato nelle donne in gravidanza e durante l’allattamento e in pazienti con ipersensibilità al diclofenac o ad altri componenti della soluzione. Dal momento che possono esistere casi di sensibilità crociata con altri farmaci antiinfiammatori non steroidei, anche appartenenti a gruppi differenti, il diclofenac non deve essere utilizzato in quei soggetti nei quali si siano verificati, dopo assunzione di acido acetilsalicilico (ASA) per via orale o di altri farmaci antiinfiammatori non steroidei (FANS), accessi asmatici, orticaria, riniti acute o altre manifestazioni allergiche. Allergia o sensibilità cutanea: PENNSAID ® contiene anche il dimetilsolfossido (DMSO) come agente veicolante e quindi non deve essere usato in pazienti con nota storia di allergia o sensibilità cutanea a DMSO. Posologia PENNSAID ® si applica localmente sull’articolazione dolorante. Dopo aver lavato con acqua e sapone la parte da trattare ed avere atteso che sia asciutta, applicare circa 20 o 40 gocce (circa 0,5 o 1 ml) di PENNSAID ® (16 mg/ml di diclofenac sodico ) rispettivamente per un’articolazione media ( es. polso) o grande (es. ginocchio). I pazienti devono usare fino ad un massimo di 40 gocce quattro volte al giorno per articolazione come raccomandato dal medico curante. Affinchè il prodotto non coli via dalla zona da trattare, applicare la soluzione suddividendola in porzioni di 5 o 10 gocce per un’articolazione media o grande. Distribuire PENNSAID ® uniformemente sulla parte da trattare con la mano o le dita. Ripetere il procedimento fino ad avere applicato l’intera dose consigliata di PENNSAID ®. Eseguire l’applicazione 4 volte al giorno. Pazienti con compromissione renale ed epatica: Per l’uso di PENNSAID in pazienti con compromissione epatica o renale vedere paragrafo 4.4 Uso pediatrico: non esistendo dati clinici sull’uso di PENNSAID ® in pediatria, non se ne raccomanda l’uso in questo gruppo di pazienti. Conservazione Non conservare a temperatura superiore ai 25°C. Non conservare in frigorifero. Avvertenze La comparsa di effetti indesiderati può essere ridotta utilizzando la minima dose efficace per il più breve tempo necessario per il controllo dei sintomi.
